I know you're coming, and I know you probably could smell the fear off of me when I started working as the Assistant. I didn't know you enjoyed it. However, now that you can't tease me everytime I drop a recipe card in my nervousness, you've decided to take it out on me by dropping your own stuff, and, because I am obviously a low-ranking Konoha Mart employee, I must obviously pick up your dirty spatula or another of the numerous cooking utensils we offer at class.

And when I am forced to pick it up, do you thank me? NO. You find it fun to tell me to go and wash it for you, because, the instructor's faulty teachings in how to wield a cooking implement must be my fault.

I'm the assistant! Yes, I assist you in figuring out the recipe, yes, I assist you in working the ovens, or getting out more pans or baking sheets, etc. etc.

My first day of work was today! It was pretty good! I'm working the cooking class! The head chef is pretty good at acting like they know what they're doing, so I'm learning alot about how to take credit for the work their assistant does.

But it was cool. I got my vest and name tag and everything! Gaara and I hung out afterwards, just out to eat and celebrate my first day of working at Konoha Mart!

So, Ino's my temporary guardian. Well, more her parents, I guess, but I suppose it'll be her problem if something crazy happens to me. So, I'll stay out of trouble as much as possible.

Anyway, school was pretty good today. Soccer practice and all that, even though it was pretty lame stuff. All we really did was practice some lifts. Because of this, I didn't get to see Ino on the field at the football game today. I kinda wanted to see what they did out on the field. Oh well.

The Cooking Club is learning how to make holiday treats from scratch! It's kinda spiffy, cause usually you see people make that "out-of-the-Betty-Crocker-box" shit (not that it's bad, mind you, it's just not culinary science or anything).

I'm really thankful the Yamanaka's are taking care of me, and Kouen. They're great!
